A couple of my readers have emailed me recently asking for help with setting up a WordPress Blog.
Assuming that you have a website and hosting account already, this process is drop dead simple.
I have been up to my eye balls installing and configuring niche sites lately – its not too difficult when you get into the swing of it but adding the bells and whistles sure takes a lot of time (hence why I haven’t been able to mail you much recently).
I have just shot this video having struggled with getting Camtasia to work properly (more down to my own skill deficiency than the application).
This video is unpolished a shot completely by a video producing amateur (so don’t laugh) but should give you the pointers you need to complete the installation.

G’day Peter, thanks for your straight forward and easy to follow video, I am sure that it will help out a lot of people.
It is quite surprising just how many newbies out there don’t realize how easy it is to install and set up a wordpress blog.
Building the things up with content and getting them ranked is the difficult part.
Anyone can build a blog nowadays – its what they do with them that counts

Hey Peter
Thank you for the video. I have a problem. I can’t hear because you are talking to low. The section on the permalink? What is the word you
typed in custom settings?
Thank you

Hi Peter,
The video was fairly instructional but there were times when I found it difficult to hear what you were saying.
Having said that, I think you achieved your goal because by following your instructions anyone should be able to get a blog up and running in just a few minutes. So, well done. Hopefully it will help those who have no idea how to do it.

Love your new blog theme
At least it looks different from my last visit
Despite its simplicity, users are well advised to seriously
look at hardening (securing) their blog
believe me hackers can set you back seriously.
While we are on the topic of wordpress,
security may be a good aspect to cover in future,
as there are more sites hacked and infected than we realize.
